Web Development

Most of the websites I create are built using PHP and MySQL. PHP is one of the web’s most popular scripting languages and can be used to build nearly everything from small scale sites to large corporate sites. MySQL is another popular technology used for creating and managing database systems that when paired with PHP can give your website powerful functionality. Another tool that I use is called CodeIgniter, a PHP framework that allows me to create complex websites in less time, and that’s always nice!

Web Design

When it comes to design I like things clean and user-friendly. I write standards-compliant XHTML and CSS that is cross-browser compatible, meaning it will display the same in various browsers such as Internet Explorer, Safari or FireFox. I lay out my sites using CSS without the use of tables. Tables are an outdated way of developing websites. Tableless design keeps your website more organized for future updates and allows search engines to better index your site. I use Photoshop to create my graphics and logos.

Marketing/Advertising

As I’ve said before, completing the development of your site is really only the beginning. A website isn’t worth anything if no one visits it. There are many things that should be done for any website, new or old, including building links, search engine submissions, article writing, press releases and so on. Pay-per-click ad campaigns are another valuable tool that should be created with care in order to get the most return on investment. The majority of internet users find what they are looking for by using popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo. I offer a full service of e-commerce solutions – everything from merchant accounts to payment processing using popular gateways such as PayPal, Authorize.net and others. When it comes to shopping carts, I’m capable of creating a custom solution from scratch, or I can set up, customize, and administer popular solutions like Zen Cart and others. I can also set up an affiliate program for your online product so that you can turn others into your own personal sales reps!
